The template user profile is ready to go. All you have to do now is copy it. To open the User Profiles dialog box, click Start, Control Panel, Performance And Maintenance, and then System. To use centralized administration, you must create mirrored user accounts on all the computers in the array. Mirrored accounts are local users with identical user names and passwords. You will use the credentials of this user when you use ISA Server management to connect to the workgroup array. As a best practice, these accounts should have user names and passwords that are different from any domain user accounts. To assign ISA Server roles, you need to create a local user on each workgroup array member that can be assigned to an ISA Server role. If you use the same user account for each role on each computer, you can connect to the Configuration Storage server and each ISA Server computer using the same logon credentials and have access to the same ISA Server administrator role. Because the ISA Server computers in a workgroup cannot use domain authentication to create a secure channel between servers, you need to configure any array containing workgroup members to use authentication over an SSL encrypted channel. To enable this option, you must install a server certificate on the Configuration Storage server and configure the computers running ISA Server services with a root certificate of a mutually trusted certification authority (CA).
